Time by Arolowo Jamiu

Time

Time has no feathered wings
Yet it flies so high
That we often lose track of things past.
It ebbs uncontrollably like a tidal wave.
It cannot be bundled like firewood
Time, a measure of non-existence
Always in dynamic motion
Can never be brought to a static state
Time, a measure of lives …
Olden days are gone,
Today is present,
Tomorrow’s time unknown
All are consequences of time depreciations
As no reverse can be maneuvered.
Time echoes itself
With change of motion.
In its prime like a swift stream
It must be harnessed for good work
Along an alarm of conscience .
